I’m Taz Nadeem, a professional boxer born in Kabul, Afghanistan and fighting out of Rotherham, Yorkshire. I’m proud of both sides of my story, my Afghan heritage and the community in Rotherham that I represent every time I step into the ring.

Sport and competition have always played a major part in my life. Before establishing myself as a professional boxer, I developed my athletic background through CrossFit and high-level physical training. That foundation helped shape the conditioning, strength, discipline and mentality that I now bring into boxing.

I made my professional boxing debut in April 2024, stopping Sergey Bannov with a left hook just 20 seconds into the opening round. Since then, I’ve continued to develop through competitive fights and appearances on major cards, building a professional record of 8 wins, 1 loss, with 5 victories coming by KO or TKO.

Known as “The Butcher,” I compete across the Super Middleweight and Light Heavyweight divisions.

My goal is simple: continue developing, take on bigger challenges and work my way towards championship opportunities and the biggest nights the sport has to offer.

But my journey isn’t only about boxing. I understand the platform that sport can create, and I want to use mine positively. I’m passionate about representation, creating opportunities and showing young people — particularly those from migrant and underrepresented communities — what can be achieved through discipline, belief and hard work. My work as a Muslim Aid ambassador is another opportunity to give something back and help inspire the next generation.

I’m still at the beginning of my journey.

There are bigger fights to come, bigger stages to reach and much more that I want to achieve.
